3月23日 My belly is bigger than John's head I get these brief e-mail newsletters describing week by week what's most likely going on with baby and me, and the most recent one said that my uterus is now as big as a soccer ball. What? I don't look that big yet. Then John was like, well you kinda do and remember that your uterus is pushing organs around so that soccer ball is half-way in, half-way out so to speak. Since I was still unconvinced, John put his head next to my belly and sure enough, my belly was that much taller than his head--it really is soccer ball size. Crazy! We'll take the obligatory pictures soon. In other baby news, I can feel the little guy moving about fairly regularly now. I am most aware of him when I first wake up, then in the mid-afternoon, and then again late-ish at night. Fiddler on the Roof is closed. I had a lot of fun stage managing this show, but I was so sick and exhaused from Fiddler Cold #1 and #2 for so much of the run that it took a quite a bit of wind out of my sails, and I am extremely relieved it is over. The kids gave really great performances this weekend, and we had really full houses, which is awesome! The youngest girl in the cast wrote me a thank you card and drew a picture of me in the booth, which is wildly adorable. I think I'll shall hang it up in my office cubicle. Next up is lighting Wizard of Oz. Woo! But first I come home to Chicago to visit family and friends. Woo hoo! Love, Trina 3月9日 My doctor is proud of me My doctor totally made my day at my third OB appt me by telling me that I am doing so well with my weight she is proud of me. Yes! Baby is also doing well. Sometimes I can feel him boppin' around, though nothing regular yet. This last week has been almost completely consumed by Fiddler on the Roof, which opened last Friday. We had really good crowds all weekend, and the cast has been giving excellent and heartfelt, if sometimes goof-ridden, performances. If you haven't seen it yet (and you should come), there are 2 more weekends, and I'll still be the one in the booth After packing a month's worth of stress into 1 week while baby is stealing my energy, I woke up with the Fiddler cold on Friday morning. Curses! Trina 3月1日 TV eve John decided this year was the year that we would purchase a new television--a purchase he has been nagging me about for a few years now. It will be delivered tomorrow morning. Tonight we moved out of the living room the old TV (which is up for grabs to the first person who will come to our house and take it away), dusted and moved out the two side cabinets, unplugged all the components and speakers, brought out of storage the old entertainment unit, and plugged all the components and speakers back in. Now we stare at the empty space on the wall awaiting the new TV. After finally approving the purchase, I have almost completely stayed out of it. John had given me updates on how things were going: LCD vs plasma, the best deal, how many inches, its HD capabilities, whether or not it will all get hooked up in time for March Madness.... What will be delivered tomorrow is a 50" Pioneer plasma television. It was purchased through some special internet company who offered, for a small fee, "white glove" service where the delivery people bring the TV inside the house, unpack it from the box, and TAKE THE BOX AWAY. We accepted the offer. I'm pleased as punch, partly because we have a lot of stairs and mostly because they take the box away. Woo! Fiddler opens Friday! If you're in town, you should come see it! I'll be the one in the booth. Trina |
